DRAFT NATIONAL CANNABIS MASTER PLAN FOR SOUTH AFRICA

The purpose of the master plan is to provide a broad framework for the development and growth of the
South African cannabis industry in order to contribute to economic development, job creation, inclusive
participation, rural development and poverty alleviation.

Below are slides from today’s virtual consultation workshop on the draft national cannabis master plan that took place online via Microsoft Team meetings.

  1. When is the next meeting and when is government expected to comment/actually change the laws to make all this possible ? 3 month? 6months?
    Personally feel it’ll take at least one to two more years…

  3. We must allow everyone to grow it like we grow mielies and just test it at testing stations reschedule it to a plant.

    1. I agree and this bill is designed for medical cannabis, South Africa has legal recreational Cannabis laws but this bill is focused on Medical and licences. I say away with total control and let the people empower themselves. Licence recreational Cannabis like the Alchohol sector.
