Medical Dagga in South Africa.
Some may already be aware that our facebook page ‘Medical Dagga’ (www.facebook.com/medicaldagga/) has been removed and banned by facebook due to promoting ‘Drug Use’ in South Africa.
But was it banned and unpublished or simply censored?
No doubt there are plenty of haters and competitors rejoicing.
This is not intended to be a post to complain and moan but merely to get the information out there that facebook has begun to remove credible and popular South African Cannabis pages and groups.
It’s disappointing as I put in a lot of time and effort into building that page up and educating South Africans about Medical Cannabis in South Africa. It’s also sad that so much information has been lost, including the contacts of South Africans who were messaging me via the inbox function for advice who may now think that I have abandoned them.
At first I was upset when I logged into my facebook account and saw the following message:
But I quickly realized that there is more to this and that this is a strategy by people who do not wish to see Cannabis legalized for Medicinal use in South Africa.
I must also mention that the week before my personal profile was blocked for 24hrs and a news article post which I shared on the Medical Dagga facebook page was also marked as spam – at which point I received multiple notifications from Mark’s bots that I had been a bad boy.
Since I was the first South African with a website www.cannabisoil.co.za (since 2013) it seems only logical that I’d also be the first South African Medical Cannabis company to have its facebook page banned or censored too.
I must mention that the facebook page ‘Medical Dagga’ has been published since 2014.
So why all of a sudden would facebook delete the Medical Cannabis in South Africa page?
Facebook’s reasoning is that the page promotes the use of drugs and therefor goes against its community standards.
The Medical Cannabis South Africa page had just over 8000 likes and was reaching upwards of 35 000 people each week. The page shared the latest news and developments about Medical Cannabis in South Africa.
The information which was published on there often appeared there first before appearing on any other South African Cannabis pages, groups or any mainstream South African news agencies.
I suspect the page was removed because it was reported by a group of people who were paid to do so as at the moment the legalization of Cannabis in South Africa is a hot and debated topic.
You must understand while there are hundreds of other South African facebook groups, pages and even whatsapp groups promoting the use of Cannabis Oil or selling Cannabis Oil, Cannabis Tinctures and Cannabis Capsules these pages and admins were not at the forefront of providing information on Medical Cannabis in South Africa.
Information which often at times was controversial and data which the Government perhaps didn’t want ordinary South Africans being aware of.

The ‘Medical Dagga’ page reported on the latest developments about Medical Cannabis in South Africa and there are not many other pages or groups who could match the information, education and awareness which was being delivered daily to people all over South Africa.
It may also have had something to do with the fact that I have been giving away thousands of Cannabis/Marijuana/Dagga seeds for free to people all over South Africa for their own personal medicinal use.
Interestingly enough, while the Medical Cannabis in South Africa facebook page was deleted, the two facebook groups I created and am admin of namely www.daggacup.com and www.cannaclubsa.com are still very active with about 4200 and 3300 members respectively with numbers growing daily.
Consider joining these South African Cannabis/Marijuana/Dagga groups while you can, but from now on I will be unleashing my news and information straight from this website and you can share it on facebook – just be careful you too don’t get blocked for promoting ‘drug use’ in South Africa.
I will be developing the ‘Dagga Cup’ and ‘CannaClubSA’ websites this week because I expect it’s only a matter of time until my personal facebook profile page gets banned too and therefor my access to these groups I created.
If facebook deletes your profile then it should also be forced to delete all your data and information, photos, comments and posts off its servers too. That would be fair, that would be just.
Watch the video at the bottom of this page to see that this too happened in the United States to a few Medical Cannabis related fakebook pages, the video is dated 25th February 2016.
